Hello, everyone.

 

I am Emre. Upon having studied English Language and Literature at Ege University, Izmir, Türkiye, for two years, I have decided to choose a different path of my academic journey and continued my studies at the department of English Language Teaching at Balıkesir University, Balıkesir, Türkiye.

 

I have always been astonished by the aesthetic use of language and its reflections on literature through vast amounts of unique choices of words, and it is that emotion that has taken us here, creating this website to reach out to all of you who are desperately looking forward to meeting independent and prolific writers to tell contemporary and outliving stories of their own.

I admire the words. I admire the language. It is the ocean that we live in; it is certain. The language we use still prevails until this very day. We are here merely to prolong its vividness through the creative use and aesthetics; and, I believe that "something" will be waiting for you in the depths of these lines.

I am Hasan, who is currently a student studying English Language Teaching at Balıkesir University, Türkiye. In order to understand who I am; it is crucial to feel how I feel, and here I am to show it to you. Hasan is an amateur, yet quite a passionate writer, reader, aviation geek, traveller and listener, a good listener and a huge daydreamer. 

 

My passion about writing and expressing my thoughts through words started when I was very little and I never let it go away from me. I kept writing as much as I could to show myself and others what I saw, heard or felt. 

 

Me and my dear friend, and also colleague, Emre have been thinking deeply about some issues, ideas and masterpieces that have already been created by others; however, we see that there is “something” which we should find out and express to our readers, so we decided to create this platform to make people realise that "This is Something."

My name is Özlem, and I’m studying English Language Teaching at Balıkesir University. But beyond just my name—who am I really, and where does my soul belong?

​

First and foremost, I am a woman. A woman who strives to live with dignity, whose sense of justice is sharp and unwavering, who has made hope and persistence her life mottos and who seeks adventure at its peak...

​

While I deeply believe in the power and impact of words, I also find myself captivated by the magic of writing. To me, writing is often the voice of silent screams, the unspoken emotions finally breaking free.

 

Together with my dear friends Hasan and Emre, we set out on this journey to give voice to silence, to bring emotions to the surface, and to make the unseen visible.

 

May strength always reside in our minds. Life is beautiful as long as we live and write!
